5 Trade Show Raffle Prize Ideas for 2020

https://tradeshowinfotainer.com/blog/5-trade-show-raffle-prize-ideas-for-2020/
Participating in trade shows is a great way to maximize your brand’s exposure, meet with potential clients, and network with colleagues in your industry. As you know if you’ve participated in a trade show, the process beforehand is full of excitement about the potential of the show and preparing how best to utilize your booth to generate leads and potential prospects. Coming up with trade show goals, planning out your booth, and generating ideas for how to attract attendees is all part of the fun!

Although raffles have been around for decades, they are still a fun and important part of today’s trade show booths; however, coming up with great prizes that your attendees are actually interested in might be difficult if you do a raffle at every show. Here are some fun and unique trade show raffle ideas to use in 2020.

Free products or services
Consider offering a free product or service trial from your company as a trade show raffle prize. This one is a win-win: not only is the prize relevant and valuable to your audience, but it will get people to actually try out your product, which can help you generate client leads through the people who participate in your raffle. Hats, t-shirts, water bottles, note pads and binders that feature your company branding can be given away as prizes to raffle winners.
If you offer a service, consider giving away a free trial; it’s a great way to get someone introduced to your business who may not have tried it out otherwise.

Gift cards or cash
Gift cards and cash are ideal trade show raffle giveaways because they are widely used by a variety of people. Offer gift cards to a popular restaurant, store, or spa or for services that may be relevant to the people in attendance at the trade show (Amazon is almost always a big hit at trade shows!).
More than anything, trade show attendees are interested in participating in raffles that offer products and services that they actually use in their everyday lives.
As a bonus, gift cards are very portable which makes it easier for logistics and storing at the show as well as being more convenient for the winner.

Electronics
Electronics are costly trade show raffle prizes. Usually, only companies with large budgets are able to afford them; however, you don’t have to go with the biggest and most expensive electronics out there. Popular electronics giveaways include items like:
• Raspberry Pi’s
• Alexa Echos and Google Homes
• Small TVs
• AirPods/headphones
• Cameras
• Video game consoles
• Wireless chargers
• Tablets

Whichever electronics you decide to go with, make sure they’re within your budget and something appealing enough to really make it stand out among your competition.

Prize or “swag” pack
Some exhibitors go the extra mile to make their prize sound bigger and better by offering anonymous prizes collected together in a “prize pack,” “swag pack,” or something similarly named. This is a good strategy if you have to promote your booth before you’ve actually decided on your prize or game giveaways!
It’s an easy way to lump together multiple items that all have your logo imprinted on them, which is another good branding strategy that helps to build awareness around your brand.

T-shirts
Shirts can be a great giveaway because when attendees wear them, they become walking billboards for your brand. However, remember that your shirt has to be nice enough to avoid getting buried in a drawer! Chances are, more than 4% of exhibitors are offering a shirt as a prize giveaway, but these exhibitors who did tend to offer something more than the average t-shirt. To get your attendees’ attention, try offering performance tees, super-soft tees, or shirts made from recycled materials. Adding a little extra ‘oomph’ to an otherwise typical giveaway goes a long way!

Refresh Your Office. Bring In the Outside!

https://www.applerock.com/blog/post/bring-in-the-outside

Many businesses are still closed, or lightly staffed, while the majority of their workforce are working from home. Now is the perfect time to take these 2020 lemons and make some delicious lemonade.
Actively cleaning and preparing your office for The Great Reopening is a given, but what if you also took advantage of this moment to refresh your office space. Step back and look at your space with a fresh set of eyes. When was the last time your lobby was refreshed with new paint, graphics or decor that doesn’t look like it stepped off the set of Stranger Things? (Yes, I love that show but not as a design Trend!)
Earlier this year we released our new 2020 Design Trends featuring inspirations from many hours of research on hot design trends, new materials and textures and based on our 32 years of experience. Most of our award-winning trade show and corporate branded space designs are inspired by the world of interior design. One of the best current trends is brining the outside-in. this is not a new concept by any means, but it is growing in popularity everywhere we look. And now is the ideal time to bring some fresh life to your office spaces!
Here are 5 ideas on how you can bring the fresh outdoors into your corporate spaces and rejuvenate the look and feel for your employees and guests.
GREENERY
Adding fresh greenery to any space brings it to live. Fresh plants are an inexpensive way to uplift a room. Adding plants to any office space can no only clean the air, but they can also help reduce stress, increase productivity, boost creativity and look attractive to prospective clients and staff. One eye-catching and creative way to implement plants into your office design is through the use of plant walls. Plant walls are a hot trend, but they also bring a serene vibe to any space.
NATURAL ELEMENTS
Another way to add style and design to key office spaces it with the use of natural elements like wood and stone. Not only are they environmentally friendly – earning you point by conscious guests and staff – they are also very soothing in a normally sterile environment. This can be accomplished by using any of these natural elements for counters, floors, and furniture furniture in lieu of laminate, plastic or melamine. Don’t take shortcuts by getting materials that look like wood or stone when you can use the real thing. This tactile element accented with fresh plants and flower will provide an enjoyable and relaxing environment for all.
WATER
You always want to appeal to various senses. So now let’s talk about adding water to your new space design. (We also incorporate this with trade show designs. Water features help to create a natural ambiance in spaces. Add some essential oils to your feature and now we are appealing to everyone’s sense of smell and bringing the level or relaxation to a whole new level. But before you put your staff and guests into a meditative slumber you need to be strategic where you use these more effective features. Lobbies and employee lounge areas would be ideal locations as these are prime opportunities to help everyone rest and recharge.
SUNLIGHT
Maximize all the natural light you have, and if you don’t have adequate windows in certain areas you can add the perception of sunlight with strategic lightboxes and LED displays. I don’t know about you, but I hate walking into a dark and gloomy conference room. By providing plenty of sunlight, natural or fake, you are creating a warm and welcoming environment that helps employees feel happier, healthier and generally more productive.
OUTDOOR SEATING
No, I am not talking about park benches in the lobby or picnic tables in the breakroom. You can easily add fun and whimsy to employee lounge areas with fun hammock seats or redesign your employee breakroom into a garden patio with bistro seating and planters. You want to keep you lobby and high-profile client areas a little more polished, by using wood tones, natural fibers, plants and lots of natural lighting like we discussed will immediately evoke the feeling of an outdoor oasis.
CREATE AN INVITING SPACE THEY WON’T FORGET!
Let the professional designers at Apple Rock help you crete a fresh space for your employees return. We can incorporate any or all of the above design elements along with, fresh paint and branding, and new stylish custom partitions to keep everyone safe. You will create so much value and positive energy, resulting in better productivity and happier employees and guests.

5 Ways to Reduce Your Drayage Costs

5 Ways to Reduce Your Drayage Costs

Drayage is one of the most misunderstood and infuriating trade show expenses that exhibitors encounter. Drayage — also referred to as material handling — is an industry term that refers to the movement of your exhibit items between your carrier’s vehicle and your trade show booth space. Although this fee is unavoidable, knowing how drayage is calculated can help significantly reduce your trade show spend.
How is Drayage Calculated?
Drayage rates are based on CWT (weight per 100 lbs.) multiplied by an established rate, with a 200 lbs. minimum. Additional fees may apply depending on the difficulty associated with moving a piece of freight. Note that drayage rates vary from show-to-show, so the rate associated with your specific trade show will have a large impact on your overall drayage spend!
Now that we understand how drayage is calculated, here are our 5 tips on how to reduce your drayage costs:
1. Crate Your Freight
Make good use of space—consolidate and skid your freight! Each loose piece will be assessed a minimum charge. Try to keep the weight of each box close to the nearest CWT without going over. For example, if you have a box that weighs 415 pounds and another that weighs 375 pounds, try to redistribute the weight so that both boxes are close to 400 pounds.
2. Watch Your Crate Weight
Trade show booths are typically heavy because they simply consist of a whole lot of material. When deciding on booth material, go light. There are plenty of lightweight building options that don’t hinder and customization needs you may have. If your current booth is older and quite heavy, consider trading it in for a lighter model. This can save you a lot of money especially if you plan on using the exhibit in numerous trade shows.
3. Don’t Be Late
Each trade show has scheduled move in and move out dates. Work with your install and dismantle team to schedule to have your exhibit set up on a non-overtime day and time. Check your exhibitor services manual for a floor plan that tells you when your truck can unload, and make sure your carrier meets that target time.
4. Reduce Collateral
Stop shipping unnecessary items. The quickest way to rack up a big drayage bill is to ship things, especially heavy things, you don’t really need. Review the weight of your exhibit, shipping crates, and promotional material to determine if you can cut out any items from your next load. If you have a lot of marketing materials, consider printing them in the city where the trade show or event is taking place. Remember – you can always reprint more.
5. Review Your Freight Invoices
When thousands of trade show invoices are being processed within a day or two there is a lot of room for error. Mistakes happen so review every line item of your invoice to make sure you have been billed correctly.

Wall showcases

Wall showcases are a very important feature of your store, they are the preview of what can be found in the inside.
A good showcase has to be correctly distributed, lit day and night, with a good background so that it keeps privacy and images are not lost, with a careful combination of color. Should be oriented in the direction of pedestrian circulation, without forgetting that any detail serves to remind the potential buyer where was the article that caught his attention.
